ABOUT BIDA

Nahian Rahman Rochi serves as the Head of Business Development at BIDA, bringing years of global financial and management leadership to the agency. As the first private sector C-suite executive to hold a management post at BIDA, he plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between public investment strategy and private sector innovation.

Nahian brings a global perspective, having worked across major Asian markets including Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia, and Hong Kong.  In his last role as Finance Director at Rothmans Korea, and previously as Regional Finance Controller for over 60 countries in the APMEA region, he led cross-border teams and multimillion-dollar growth & investment projects.  Known for building high-performing, growth-driven business models, he has led strategic investments and transformation initiatives that generate long-term value and operational efficiency.

He holds a degree in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, and is a certified CPA and CIMA professional. Outside the boardroom, Nahian is an avid sports enthusiast and mentor to young professionals, sharing his time and experience to support the next generation of leaders.
